Colorado Athletic Training School (CATS) was founded in 1988 by Rob Candelaria, a competitive gymnast at the University of Colorado and an avid rock climber, Rob set out to build a gymnastics and rock climbing facility to involve more people in the two sports he loves. Rob built one of the first indoor climbing walls in the nation. Later, he fell in love with a beautiful rock climber and gymnast, Wendy Rein and they married. Together, they run one of the most successful programs in the country. One of the things that make the program so successful is the dedicated coaches and staff who help our athletes realize their highest potential of ability. CATS is host to athletes from recreational level to the highest competitive levels.
More than twenty years later CATS is still a favorite choice for gymnasts and rock climbers across the nation. Winning Best of Boulder for the last 5 years running, CATS provides quality instruction, the best equipment available, and a community of healthy and active people! Come join our family!
